Meet Cynthia Ebner

Judge Cynthia L. Ebner: Statement of Candidacy
My judicial perspective and motivations are simple: in everything that I do as a judge my role is to be fair, reasonable, respectful, yet decisive in bringing my 22+ years of experience and knowledge of practicing law in the city, state, and federal courts to the Franklin County Municipal Court.
The Franklin County Municipal Courts of Ohio are often referred to as the “People’s Court” because they conduct the highest volume of civil and criminal court cases in our state. For our community members, this practically means that the municipal courts are the most likely court system that they will find themselves involved in legal issues.
As a current sitting judge, I enter this re-election campaign, with the gratitude and grace of having served as a judge over the last 5.5 years presiding over 1000’s of cases, and dozens of court and jury trials. From these combined experiences, I also enter this campaign with the humble realization and daily recognition of how the decisions of the court system influence our community members’ lives, their families, and the overall health of all Franklin County, and the belief that in the court of law every person is to be given respect and a voice to be heard.
